Bridget Haynes
Bridget Haynes married to Derek for 23 years and mother of two daughters Chaffawn and Janelle. A Psalmist, who believes music, is a powerful tool for changing the hearts of men and women. She has ministered through music in several dynamics; as Women’s Ministry Worship Leader and Adult Worship Leader, Adult and Youth Choir Director. Regularly ministers as a guest singer for conferences, weddings, funerals, and musical plays.

Brenda Lax
Brenda Lax has been attending Sheffield Family Life Center since 1987, and initially was involved with the Young Adult group. She then served in the Sunday morning Children’s Church bus ministry with her husband for several years until they discontinued the bus ministry on Sunday mornings. She has been involved with the Women’s Ministry for a number of years, serving under several leaders. While with Women’s Ministry she was initially in charge of publicity, and has most recently been assisting with greeters and offering. In addition to these ministries, she was an active volunteer with the nursery ministry when her son was in nursery, and now volunteers for Love’s Outreach.
She was a volunteer program manager for 19 years for a federally funded program sponsored by the City of Kansas City, Missouri. She is currently working with the City’s new Neighborhood Improvement Program, developing a multi-pronged volunteer program for neighborhoods, in addition to other duties in working with the City’s neighborhood leaders.
She is married to Dennis and they have one son, Matthew, age 5.

Terri Bennett
Terri Bennett has been attending Sheffield Family Life Center for a little over 20 years. She met her husband at Sheffield and they have been married for 19 years. She has two children ages 13 and 14. in the past, Terri has been involved with the jail ministry, God's Wheels- My Father's House, Super Church (now known as Jam City), Junior Bible Quiz, Teen Bible Quiz, Women's Ministries, and the Refuge Ministry. She currently leads the Beside The Still Waters Group as a part of the Refuge Ministry, participates as an official for Teen and Junior Bible Quiz, and is on the Women's Ministries Leadership Team. Terri is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Missouri and her expertise is in working with the homeless, poor, disadvantaged, those with mental health concerns, and with those who have been traumatized and abused. She currently operates her own business: Christian Counseling and Social Work Services, and provides contract services (individual and group therapy) for Metro Lutheran Ministry, as well as sees private clients (adults and children). She travels to a variety of places to see clients including City Union Mission, ReStart Homeless drop-in center, Veronica's Voice (a ministry to help women who are leaving prostitution), John Knox Village, apartments for the dual diagnosed, private homes, etc. She has been a seminar speaker and enjoys training others. She has the desire to see women healed and whole. Her business motto is taken from II Corinthians 1:4b (NIV): "...we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God."
